Cleansing Balm vs Oil: My 14-Day Experiment with BANILA CO & SKIN1004

Cleansing Balm vs Oil: My 14-Day Experiment with BANILA CO & SKIN1004

As a skincare enthusiast obsessed with thorough cleansing, I've always believed makeup removal is the sacred first step. For years I've oscillated between balms and oils, but the BANILA CO Clean It Zero Nourishing Balm and SKIN1004 Centella Cleansing Oil made me reevaluate everything during my 14-day experiment...

BANILA CO Clean It Zero Nourishing Cleansing Balm

Key Facts: The cult Korean balm famous for its "zero residue" claim. Contains patented botanical oil blend with wild strawberry extract and papain enzyme. Its viral pink sherbet texture is designed for sensitive skin.

My Experience:
Scooping out the pastel yellow balm feels like dipping into cloud cream. It transforms into a velvety oil upon contact with skin, dissolving even waterproof mascara without harsh rubbing. I adore its self-emulsifying magic – impurities literally lift away like iron filings drawn to a magnet.
Post-rinse skin feels baby-soft, not stripped. The subtle grapefruit aroma turns cleansing into a ritual. Just avoid eye area – occasional slight blurriness occurs.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil

Key Facts: A "7-free" formula (no mineral oil/alcohol/etc.) featuring 78% centella asiatica. Jojoba and macadamia oils reinforce skin barrier while cleansing.

My Experience:
This lightweight transparent oil surprised me – three pumps cover full face effortlessly. It melts foundation instantly but needs extra 10 seconds for stubborn eyeliner. The fastest emulsification I've seen: contact with water creates milky foam instantly, rinsing off without residue.
As an acne-prone girl, I feared breakouts but woke up to calm skin with reduced redness. The bold citrus scent might overwhelm fragrance-sensitive users though.

Final Verdict :

Instead of choosing sides, I found their perfect synergy:
BANILA CO for Glam Nights: Handles heavy makeup like a pro
SKIN1004 for Daily Wear: Doubles as morning cleanser
SOS Moments: SKIN1004's centella soothes irritation
Winter Savior: BANILA CO's oils combat dryness

Now my bathroom shelf tells the story: yellow jar and amber bottle standing side by side, with me happily embracing this polyamorous skincare relationship. Who says we must choose? Adulting means having it all!
