COSRX Advanced Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch
Cosrx Advanced Snail Hydrogel Eye Patches are made with 20,400 ppm snail secretion filtrate (aka snail mucin) and 2% niacinamide to hydrate, plump, and soothe the delicate eye area.
How to use
-
Apply the patch on the areas of concern (under the eyes, forehead, etc)
-
Remove after 15-20 minutes, massage in the remaining essence
-
I like to follow with a moisturizer to seal everything in
The jar contains 60 patches in two sizes with slight embossing. There’s a very faint, mild floral scent that I enjoy. I don’t notice it even while the patches are on my face - the only way I discovered it was by basically sticking my nose in the jar.
My impressions
There are two different shapes of eye patches. One large patch, fitted for the whole under-eye area, as well as a small patch which is designed to be placed in areas such as your smile lines or forehead wrinkles depending on your own concerns 🙂
The packaging was simple and hygenic. Right above the actual eye patches is a small compartment for the mini tongs! This makes things nice and easy especially for people like me who are prone to losing things 🙃
INGREDIENTS
The total ingredients list is short which I was pleasantly surprised about as most sheet masks and eye patches typically have a long, long, looong list of ingredients that can potentially irritate the skin.
The main ingredient is Snail Secretion Filtrate which has phenomenal repairing and hydrating properties. This is paired with Niacinamide, which helps to brighten up dullness while delivering deep nourishment and hydration to the skin.
PERSONAL OPINION
Getting these to test out was a real treat! These eye patches were an easy pick-me-up during a busy week when I wasn’t bothered to pop a whole mask on or do my ENTIRE skincare routine. This would be a GREAT purchase for those looking for a product for their little spa day or as part of their self-care routine!
I would recommend this product for those with dry, sensitive, acne-prone, or normal-oily skin types looking for some eye patches to try out. However, if you were looking to target your dark circles, I would suggest you look towards an eye cream or even just a brightening serum. Although my experience wasn’t a 10/10, it is still a solid skincare product with great soothing and moisturizing ingredients that I still would recommend.
